The CCIT Help Desk offers students, staff, and faculty a CD containing licensed and free software used by Clemson University. To acquire this CD from the Help Desk, you can purchase one for $2. We offer both a PC and Macintosh version of the CD.
Most of the same software is available for download at http://download.clemson.edu if off campus, or from the S: (SHARE) drive in the SOFTWARE folder on campus. Access to these resources requires a valid Clemson University userid and password.
Some of the software is also available for install via the "Software Installer". The "Software Installer" is a Windows only application that can be downloaded and run from anywhere a highspeed internet connection is available. The only requirement is a valid clemson username and password. You can find more information by visiting http://ccit.clemson.edu/departments/laptop_support/installer.php.
Where can I find Maple?
Maple is not available on the CCIT Application CD. However, it can be installed from any computer connected to Clemson Novell network by going to the Share drive. Go to the 'S:\' drive, then the 'Software' folder, then the 'CES_Applications' folder, and finally the 'Maple' folder. In this folder there are readme files with instructions for the different versions available. Open the readme for the version you want to install and follow the directions. Maple will only work while the computer it is on is connected to the Clemson network.
