Scope of Standard

Backups are to be used in application recovery. They are not used for disaster recovery or archive purposes.

Backup Strategy

Files and data to be backed up will be moved or copied to that server’s backup mounted file system that is designed for data backups. Only files that are deemed by the application as “changing” files, and data are to be copy or moved here.

Backup Retention

Data for backup purposes should be kept long enough such that 42 days of backup data will exist at all times.

Effective Date

Immediately.

Backup Method

Customers should copy data to their server’s backup mounted file system.  Customers needing assistance should contact CCIT for additional backups services that are offered.
