CCIT to migrate Peoplesoft group storage (P: drive) on April 21
Ryan Real,
Public Information Coordinator
April 13, 2018
At 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, CCIT will migrate the drive space used to access PeopleSoft and financial files, commonly referred to as the P: drive. After the move, data will be visible in a folder on your H: drive. This migration will affect employees that access this drive space. If you did not previously have an H: drive, one will appear automatically on April 21.
Support personnel in your area will be available to assist you on Monday morning. We realize this may cause some confusion and CCIT, with the help of your local support team, is making every effort is to ensure the smoothest possible transition.
How this change will affect you:
- Some folder structures may change, but this will not result in any data loss.
- Links to folders and documents on your desktop will no longer work.
- Novell will no longer be used to map your drive, but it will still be mapped automatically for you in most cases. Instructions are available on how to map the drive if it does not map automatically via this link.
- Non-Windows customers will be given the new drive location for mapping purposes via local consultant as these will vary.
If you have questions or need assistance, contact your local area IT support or contact the CCIT Support Center.
