Individual Licenses

JMP

Vendor SAS Institute

SAS created JMP in 1989 to empower scientists and engineers to explore data visually. Since then, JMP has grown from a single product into a family of statistical discovery tools, each one tailored to meet specific needs. SAS software is visual, interactive, comprehensive and extensible.

There is no license server for JMP but a license file. JMP licenses expire at the end of each August. The JMP installers are updated each year with the new license. To renew your license you can either: obtain a new copy of JMP from http://download.clemson.edu, uninstall JMP, and reinstall with the new, downloaded copy or manually obtain the version- and hardware-specific SID (license) files from the Documentation folder in the JMP directory on the Software Repository using the instructions below.

Install Media - How to Access JMP

Installing On Windows

  • Option 1: Students can download and install CCIT Software Center here. JMP will be available in the list of installable applications once CCIT Software Center is installed and has initialized. Note: The initialization process can take some time and will continue in the background once CCIT Software Center is launched. Applications will show up in the list of available software as this background initialization proceeds.
  • Option 2: All users can open Windows Explorer (My Computer) and copy \\software.clemson.edu\software\JMP into the address bar. If prompted for a username and password, try "campus\username" (no quotes; note the backslash), where username is your Clemson University username. Use your Clemson password. Once connected, check the Documentation folder for additional installation information, like license server names and port numbers. Note: If you are off campus, you will have to be logged into VPN before you will be able to connect to the Software Repository.

Installing On Mac OS

  • Option 1: Use an SMB mount by clicking on Finder → Go → Connect to Server... and copying smb://software.clemson.edu/software/JMP into the Server Address field. If prompted for a username and password, use your Clemson University username and password.
Check the Documentation folder for additional installation information.
