Present your work at Clemson’s Supercomputing 18 booth

CCIT is pleased to invite faculty, staff, and students to contribute and present their work at Clemson University’s Exhibition Booth at Supercomputing ’18, being held this year in Dallas, Texas, November 11-16. SC is attended by experts in high performance computing, networking, storage and analysis from academia and industry, and by researchers using large-scale computing to solve problems in various domains in science, engineering, art and humanities. Examples of activities at SC can be found in the previous year’s program at the SC ’17 website.

The Clemson University Exhibition Booth is an excellent opportunity for our research community to showcase their research activities and visions involving large-scale computing, big data analytics, and scientific visualization across all areas in science, engineering, and humanities at Clemson University.

Authors of selected presentations will be provided with travel support to attend SC ‘18. A submission package includes a summary (in PDF format) describing a presentation/demo to be presented at the Clemson University Exhibition Booth at SC ’18. It may also include an optional short essay (500 words) in PDF format describing how attending SC ’18 will benefit their academic and/or professional career.

Acknowledgement: The recipients of this travel support award commit to presenting their selected work at least two times at Clemson University’s Exhibition Booth and assist in manning the Booth for at least two half-hour periods. They also agree to participate in a post-conference survey and to provide a short essay describing their experience at SC ’18.

Award Details: Funding is available to cover travel and conference registration costs including technical program, workshops and exhibit hall.  Specifically, each award will include:

• The entire registration fee: $315 per student or $740 per faculty if registered by Oct. 15. This will include access to the main technical program, workshops, and exhibit floor (tutorial passes are not included).
• A maximum amount of $500 per awardee to cover travel expenses to Dallas, TX and back.

Student Volunteers Program: The SC conference series also has a call for student volunteers who help make the conference a success. The Student Volunteers Program covers some expenses for selected student volunteers and provides them with valuable experience and the ability to connect with other students and professionals. This program is unaffiliated with the CCIT Call for SC ’18 Presentations/Contributions. If you are interested, then please see the SC ’18 student volunteer webpage for more information.
