Alumni
Username
In accordance with Clemson University’s Username and Password Policy, one year after graduation, your Clemson Username will be deactivated. This means all your access to Clemson student resources will no longer be available.
We suggest you prepare with the following steps before you graduate:
- Backup all of your personal data on your laptop and bring it by the CCIT Customer Support Center in the Cooper Library for a final hardware check and re-image.
- Save a copy of your unofficial transcript. After your Username is deactivated, you will no longer be able to access your unofficial transcript. Instead, you will have to request an official copy for a fee, as directed by the Registrar’s transcripts page.
- Save a copy of your tax records. After your Username is deactivated, you will no longer be able to access iRoar for your billing information. If your account is deactivated and you need to get these records, contact CCIT at (864)656-3494.
Software
All Clemson University students have access to Microsoft Office as part of Clemson University’s site licensing agreement. Our agreement also allows us to reinstall Microsoft Windows on your laptop when the need arises. Once you graduate, you will no longer qualify to reinstall Clemson’s site-licensed software. Alumni are eligible for a discounted Microsoft Office 365 Personal license, available at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/education/alumni-discount.
Google Workspace for Education (http://g.clemson.edu)
Due to changes in Google Workspace for Education and security policies, alumni will no longer have indefinite access to their Google Workspace accounts, including Gmail. All graduates from May 2024 onward will lose access to their Google Workspace accounts upon one year of graduation.
