Siemens FEMAP

Femap is an advanced engineering simulation software program that creates finite element analysis models of complex engineering products and systems, and displays solution results. Femap can virtually model components, assemblies or systems and determine the behavioral response for a given operating environment.

License Information

This product is generally distributed as a floating network license. This means there may be a limited number of seats of this software available and that users must connect to an on-campus license server to use the software.

Versions of this software are available on: Windows. You may have to check with the vendor about the availability of other versions.

Other Restrictions

This software may only be installed/used by students and faculty in Automotive Engineering. You must be added to an access list to be able to download the software.

License server: license6.clemson.edu   Port: 28050

If you cannot enter license server name and port separately in the application, you may need to enter them in the format: port@server.

Purchasing Siemens FEMAP

FEMAP is available to Automotive Engineering faculty and students though a grant from Siemens.

Licenses for this software are available without purchase if you meet any license restrictions.

Install Media - How to Access Siemens FEMAP

Installing On Windows

  • Option 1: All users can open Windows Explorer (My Computer) and copy \\software.clemson.edu\software\Siemens into the address bar. If prompted for a username and password, try "campus\username" (no quotes; note the backslash), where username is your Clemson University username. Use your Clemson password. Once connected, check the Documentation folder for additional installation information, like license server names and port numbers. Note: If you are off campus, you will have to be logged into VPN before you will be able to connect to the Software Repository.
