HPC and Storage
Quick Start
Available To: Students, Faculty, Staff, Researchers, Departments, Ext Research Partners
Cost: All members of the Clemson community may use the cluster at no cost. Please see requirements.
See Getting Started below.
High-performance computing (HPC) is the use of parallel processing for running advanced application programs efficiently, reliably and quickly.
Key Features
- High Performance Networks allow connection to other high-performance computers, which significantly augments the computing infrastructure and facilitates collaboration among researchers at other institutions nationally.
- Research Scientist staff are available to help get your computation running successfully.
- Additional information can be obtained at CITI’s HPC page, located at https://citi.sites.clemson.edu/infrastructure
Requirements
All members of the Clemson community may use the cluster at no cost; “condominium owners’ are guaranteed priority use of their purchased nodes, while all other job priority is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
‘Condominium owners’ contribute their spare cycles for community use. Our condominium model allows users to purchase nodes in the central cluster on which they are guaranteed top priority. Condo owners receive access to additional available cluster nodes and are relieved of power, cooling and system administration headaches.
For further information, please send an email to CITI-L@clemson.edu.
Getting Started
Request service by (a) purchasing nodes and becoming a condo owner (b) filling out an allocation request form: https://citi.sites.clemson.edu/infrastructure
