CCIT provides Clemson users with tools and consultation to enable solutions to be easily found online for many of your needs.
It might be the case that what you need on your web site has already been built; and it might even be the case that what you need, you can set up yourself - with little to no assistance needed from CCIT. We've started to establish a "Do-It-Yourself" Toolkit of common solutions. These items are available for use by Clemson faculty, staff, and students at no charge.
SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is the leading security protocol on the Internet. SSL is widely used in the form of digital certificates that do two things: validate the identity of a web site and to create an encrypted connection for transmitting private documents or personal data in a secured environment.
